🔹Product Description
LDPE Low-density Polyethylene Film Tape | 5.5 Mil - Acrylic / Rubber (GHT5)
GHT5 is a conformable 36-yard LDPE polyethylene film tape available with two adhesive options:
- GHT5A – Acrylic Adhesive
- GHT5R – Synthetic Rubber Adhesive
Designed for bond breaker applications, polyethylene splicing, sealing, seaming, surface protection, and general-purpose use. Good abrasion, chemical, tear, and UV resistance. The low-surface-energy polyethylene backing can help prevent sealant adhesion to the third side of a joint, promoting proper two-sided bonding. The flexible backing also conforms well to irregular surfaces and provides excellent moisture and abrasion resistance.
🔹Suitable substitute for
3M 480 (Acrylic) | 3M 483 (Rubber) | Patco 502A / 503A (Acrylic) | Patco 502R / 503R (Rubber), and more.
🔹Adhesive Options
GHT5A – Acrylic Adhesive
- Good aging stability
- Suitable for surface protection and general-purpose applications
- Good resistance to environmental exposure
- Recommended when longer-term stability is important
GHT5R – Synthetic Rubber Adhesive
- Higher initial tack
- Bonds well to a wide variety of surfaces
- Ideal for general-purpose sealing, splicing, and wrapping
- Conforms well to irregular surfaces
🔹Tape is Available in 8 Vibrant Colors
Clear - Black - White - Red - Green - Blue - Yellow - Orange
🔹Product Applications
- Bond breaker tape for sealant joints
- Helps prevent three-sided sealant adhesion
- Greenhouse Repair Tape
- Splicing, general-purpose sealing/seaming, and spiral wrapping
- Protective overlaminate & patching where a highly conformable and clear material is required.
- Excellent moisture barrier that conforms well to irregular surfaces
- Used for color coding, decorative markings, stripping, sealing, splicing & seaming
- Provides a strong bond but still removes cleanly from most surfaces.
- Great for general protection against moisture, UV, chemicals, solvents, and abrasion.
